Meticulously engineered for an immersive sensory experience, this lightweight exhaust system is crafted from high-grade titanium and finished with a striking design featuring dual pairs of titanium and carbon-fiber tailpipes for maximum visual impact. A specially designed exhaust valve—its housing cast as one piece—controls the sound character and is adjusted via the AMG Dynamic Select electronics developed in-house, allowing the driver to choose their level of sportiness.
From a refined daily-drive mode with a smooth tone that enhances engine notes without buzz or drone, to a full-throttle sport mode delivering deep midrange growl and crisp high-frequency crackle at high revs, this system elevates every gear change.
Its unique design, construction, and setup not only save weight but also boost power and torque across the rev range, delivering gains of 8.7 hp at 6,400 rpm and 9.1 Nm at 6,700 rpm in Akrapovič’s dyno tests against the stock A 45 exhaust.
The exhaust flow path offers further tuning potential, especially when paired with the optional stainless-steel downpipe.
